Description:
1981. Arctic Circle. Dead surface of the ice fields. Arctic research station "Pole 21" just left the last occupant - Meteorologist Alexander Nesterov. He received an urgent telegram to the mainland and now has to leave the endless Arctic on a comfortable boat, which will select it in the prescribed place at the appointed hour. However, instead of a warm welcome is waiting for a scientist's nightmare: the case he will soon be on board the nuclear icebreaker "North Wind", many years ago, nestled in the ice of nothingness.
Dead cold, the darkness of loneliness and abandonment - in a confined space ship stopped dead time and froze everything that was once alive and intelligent. Wandering in a vast labyrinth of holds and compartments flooded with fear and despair, the hero must learn the dramatic story of the captain and his team, overcoming the temptation to plunge into lethargy and surrender to serenity, firmly and decisively.
